The groovement is a community for all lovers of live music. We believe in supporting artists and venues by sharing in the magic of live music together. On our platform, you can find artists coming to your city on our shows list, get bar and restaurant recommendations around venues on our groovemap to plan your night out, listen to new artists coming to your city in our groovetracks playlists, find all the info you need for a great night out our grooveguides, and signup for groovemail, our newsletter, to stay in the know.

You can sign up to join the groovement by creating a username and password (or signing up with your existing Facebook, Google or LinkedIn accounts) on our registration page.

There’s lots of ways to show your love:

On our shows page, you can view our recommended shows, search for artists, filter by date range and buy tickets on show pages.

On an individual show page, click the “Buy tickets” button which will bring you to the show site or ticketing platform where you can purchase tickets.

DM us on instagram @thegroovement.nyc and we’ll do our best to help you sell your tickets. Please note that only facilitate face value ticket sales and are not responsible for any foul play (but we do have measures in place to protect buyers and sellers). Keep an eye on the “tix” highlights on our Instagram page for available tix.

On an individual show page, click the “add to calendar” button to export the show with all the info you need on your Google, iCal or Apple calendar.

The groovemap is a google map where you can easily see all the venues in your city and find recommendations for bars, restaurants, and after hours spots near the venues so you can plan your night out.

Ahead of your next show, search or zoom in on the groovemap to find the venue. Around the venue (purple musical note icon), you will see recommendations for restaurants (teal fork & knife icon), bars (yellow martini/beer glass icons), and after hours spots (green dancer icon) near the venue so you can find the best spots to hit up and after your show.

groovetracks are our shared Spotify playlists. We make playlists for each season featuring the artists coming to your city. Discover new artists coming to your city by checking out groovetracks playlists and add your own.

groovemail is our email and communications to groovers. We send information about upcoming shows and events, reviews of shows/venues, and platform announcements and updates. Please click here to sign up to start receiving groovemail.

If you can’t find groovemail in your inbox there’s a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

1. Search for boogie@thegroovement.co in your inbox
2. Check your promotions tab
3. Check your spam folder
4. Save boogie@thegroovement.co to your email address book
5. Confirm you’ve opted in on the signup page

the groovement traces its roots back to two friends, a shared love of live music, and a google doc. The two friends were having a hard time keeping track of all the upcoming shows in NYC, so the google doc was born. Fast forward past sharing the doc with friends, who shared it with their friends, and it became a resource for locals and visitors alike to find shows, meet awesome people and share in the magic of live music together.

Today, the groovement is a thriving community platform for live music. As the trusted source for live music in NYC, the groovement handpicks the best shows, with the best vibes, for the best crowd. We believe in supporting the scene and use our platform, programs, and values to elevate artists, venues, photographers, writers, the local community, and the fan experience.
